An interaction of conversation is about exploring new data or building relationships. An instance of a transactional interaction is when you get into the supermarket and change your money for groceries.

Collaborative interactions are organized in such a way that the main objective of those involved is to change the collaboration entity from something unfixed and intangible, for instance, an idea, into something useful, for instance a design solution.

Freeing used disk space with convenience.

December 19th, 2007

Despite the fact that hard disk drives become bigger and bigger, there seems to be never enough space. Games and even office applications waste more and more megabytes. Do you ever analyze used disk space?

Unfortunately, there is always a small percentage of folders that never gets eliminated. And you are obliged to do that again: reinstall Windows, format your disks to have a few months of freedom on your PC.

I do not mean to say that used disk space management ends with formatting your disks and reinstalling all the software. There are programs out there that help users organize their directories.

Typical programs are suitable as long as you use standard folders and do standard things. The issue with people, though, is that we are not that standard about our hard drive demands. We might get impulsive when we make a folder with a hard-to-remember name. The impulse might go, but the folder we created stays. Conventional programs are not that well prepared to deal with non-standard issues.

It is not so easy to view folder sizes. First, you have to find large files and folders and traditional programs make this work surprisingly difficult. It takes ages to view folder size. Another trouble is that they are of little help about discovering where the biggest space eaters are located. In some rare cases it is nearly impossible to locate these well-hidden directories.
