How does one track your projects
July 3rd, 2008Any project manager handles four components: spending, timing, duration and quality. A bit more challenging objective is to optimize work organization and resource attribution. Most undertakings utilize such elements as labour, funds, and equipment to achieve results and meet objectives. To work with projects successfully you need to handle a number of factors. Some of them are listed in the next paragraph:
- Establishing objectives and carrying out analysis.
- Handling uncertainty. The majority of projects have a this or that degree of risk.
- Choosing people and tools for the project.
- Having a clear idea about the result you wish to get on completion of the project.
- Overseeing the project from the point of view of who is doing what and at what time.
- Managing adequate quality.
- Dealing with change. Circumstances change. When you start out on the project, you have to forsee in what way it will evolve with time.
- Exchanging information with project stakeholders.
