There are four components to professional task management: cost, schedule, duration and producing a satisfactory result. Qualified project managers also try to make the organization of business processes more efficient. Take any project and you will see that it requires people, money and tools to produce needed results. To manage projects effectively you need to handle a number of things. A couple of them can be found in the next paragraph:
- Goal setting and reviewing achievement.
- Handling risks. Most have a certain degree of risk.
- Assigning and managing resources.
- Determining the products of the project.
- Managing what is going on: giving out jobs, controlling execution.
- Managing quality.
- Managing changes. Circumstances change. The majority of projects develop in time, so the element of change should be properly considered.
